2d Drawing

Create a 2d version of your characters, and collectibles. Begin to think about how your character will look once its animated and what color variations can you use.

Sprites

Create a sprite under the animation Tab of the bloxels application. Create your characters, villains, collectibles

DESIGN

Animations! Bloxels allows students to give animations to their creations.  Each sprite created can have animations through the additions of frames.

Feedback

Feedback! Students are reqjuired to search for feedback from multiple sources.  A game is created for an audience, and feedback from mulitple people helps students realize what works and what has to be edited.

Sprite characters are created in-game, using the 13x13 grid.   On lower left you see the idle, walk and jump tabs that have to be created for each character.

Play testing your created sprit is key to creating smooth transitions between idle, walking or jumping.

Further testing in the game is now needed,  As well as feedback from your peers.  A common question is "does this sprite character dictate what your story character looks like?"

This will be the most time-consuming portion of the project.  Depending on the student participating in the project modifications will have to be made,  Some students do better drawing on a piece of paper, others will do great using just the program, and others still will use the 13x13 grid to represent their characters in a physical space.  Each student will need a different way of presenting their character.
